Born in Australia, Greek in origin, and living in between Athens and London, my job is not described in just one word. With a Postgraduate Degree from Aston University, Birmingham, in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and all things related to education, learning methodologies, young learners and adult learning, I entered the world of teaching and instructional design early on in my professional life. After 20 years in TESOL, in 2007 I entered the world of coaching and the world of coach training and education in 2011. By 2016 I had already hopped on the online training universe and I was already designing courses for the digital world for my own businesses, and then for other clients.
Thanks to my Masters Degree, and my work as a coach and coach trainer, I became extremely familiar with the majority of the learning frameworks that help improve human performance. I tend to avoid collaborations that skip steps or wish to invest only in one phase of learning and development and choose to work with organisations which truly invest in their people and offer the best - in this way supporting and enhancing my work as an instructional designer.
My team and I use a number of authoring and design tools all pertaining to high-quality outcomes with a strong visual and functional outcome. Some of the tools include LMS and creator platforms like Articulate Rise 360, TalentLMS, or e-learning platforms like LearnWorlds and Kajabi, storyboard tools like Boords and web design with the help of Wordpress, GoDaddy, Webflow, and Squarespace.
Other tools we use professionally to complement my work are Canva Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Cyberlink PowerDirector, Loom and Wistia. More recently I am collaborating with AI companies using their platforms, and most prominently the GoCharlie AI platform for the creation of long and short form social media content.
Jamaican by birth, I spent the better part of 9 years living in Cuba, where I studied and later worked.
Over the past 18 years my work experience has covered areas of Education and Training, International Relations, Information Technology, Project Management, Operations Management and Risk Management. I taught English as a second Language while living in Cuba. I have also taught Spanish the Secondary and Post Secondary levels. Also at the post secondary level I delivered courses in computer science using a blended approach. I have been working in Project management since 2008 in all areas of the PM life cycle. Working in operations, I have led teams in the areas of IT, Finance, Procurement, HR, Administration and Property Management, among others.
I am PMP® Certified and a Licentiate in Computer Science with a post Graduate Degree in Enterprise Risk Management but with a passion for nature. In my spare time I do gardening or volunteer to help preserve one of Jamaica's National Parks: The Blue and John Crow Mountains.
